This full day tour is the best way to discover Panama City. On this tour you will visit:
- The Panama Canal (Miraflores Locks Visitors Center), this is where you can see up-close the operations of the canal and the transiting ships. There is also the canal museum and an IMAX movie (not included, extra $10) on the history and construction of the canal.
- Chinese Mirador, this view point offers a wide view of the Canal entrance from the Pacific, the port of Balboa, Ancon Hill and the bridge of the Americas.
- Amador Causeway, one of the most beautiful places in Panama City. This tree-lined promenade, built from earth & rocks extracted during the canal construction, connects the mainland to four islands facing the city. With many local and international restaurants, this is a great place to have lunch with a nice view of the city skyline.
- Casco Viejo also called Casco Antiguo (the Old Town), this is the historic district of Panama City, built 1673 following the near-total destruction of the original Panamá city, Panamá Viejo.
You will also be able to see the Cinta Costera, Avenida Balboa, Las Americas Bridge and the Fish Market (Mercado de Mariscos).
